Mosambique Black Tea, Monte Metilile bio

The Monte Metilile Tea Estate is located near the town of Gurué in Zambezia Province, northern Mozambique. During the Mozambican Civil War, the estate remained uncultivated for many years. Thanks to the fertile soils and favourable climate, tea production was later resumed under organic conditions.
The hand-picked teas rank among the finest in the country. The tightly twisted, grey-black leaves produce a deep orange-brown infusion with reddish hues. The tea is robust and full-bodied, with malty, aromatic notes and subtle floral nuances.
