This naturally processed wild coffee stands out with its fine fruitiness, notes of forest berries and chocolate, a velvety texture and a gentle sweetness.
Bale Mountain is a still lesser known coffee growing area in Guji, Ethiopia, increasingly recognised for exceptional naturally processed coffees. Its proximity to Bale Mountain National Park with its rich biodiversity, high elevation and mineral rich soils creates ideal conditions for outstanding coffee. In this untouched ecosystem, this rare wild growing coffee variety thrives naturally.
Founded in 2013 in the Arsi Bale Mountain belt, the farm focuses on producing high quality, fully organic and sustainably grown coffees. The coffee plants grow under the shade of legume trees, which naturally enrich the soil with nitrogen and support water conservation.
The farm is also deeply committed to the local community through projects such as road and school construction, the establishment of a tree nursery, the free distribution of seedlings and financial support for the community during the off season.
