We acquire this speciality coffee from the Sheka Forest, which belongs to the biosphere reserve with the same name in south-western Ethiopia. At an altitude of about 1400 to 2400 m above sea level, the coffee bushes grow wild in the ecological balance of the jungle, protected in the shade of mighty trees. Only the fully ripe coffee cherries are harvested and air-dried in a natural, gentle way. The project has been awarded various certificates and is organic.
The beans are not roasted too dark. Its cup is characterized by an aromatic note, rather slender body with a fresh citrus note.
