The cocoa for this milk chocolate comes from the island of Guadalcanal in the heart of the Solomon Islands. Along the north coast, protected from the midday sun by tall coconut palms, the cocoa trees thrive on the fertile volcanic soil of a family farm. The gentle cocoa flavor and long lasting finish harmonize perfectly with the milky note of this bar, distinguished by its creamy texture and lingering caramel and honey notes.
Firetree was founded in 2017 by David Zulman, Martyn O’Dare and Aidan Bishop. They are now channeling their experience from the chocolate industry into the production of small batches of single-origin chocolates made from origin cocoa beans. The cocoa comes from islands of volcanic origin around the Pacific fire belt. This and the fact that a cocoa tree full of ripe, bright red, yellow and orange pods can also look as if it is on fire gave rise to the name “Firetree”.
