Rose water is produced during the distillation of rose oil. It is a very special water, because it contains the essential oils of the rose and unfolds a flowery aroma not only as a cosmetic and body care additive, but also as an ingredient in baking and cooking.
As early as the Middle Ages, rose water was mixed into marzipan. In French, Iranian, Indian and Arabic cuisine, it is customary to flavour dishes this way. Typically Indian, for example, is the yoghurt drink lassi. The Turks love their dessert Güllac with a rosy note. This rose water is produced completely naturally and is pasteurized.
