In the south east of Darjeeling, near Kurseong, lies the renowned Jungpana tea estate. Founded in 1899, it is one of the region’s long established estates and is known for its consistently high quality. Today, a large part of its production follows ecological practices, with a focus on sustainable cultivation and gentle processing.
The tea gardens are situated at altitudes of around 1,000 to 1,500 metres. This terroir, combined with careful hand picking, gives the teas their fine aromatics and clear structure.
This 1st Flush is floral and clear, with delicate blossom notes on the nose. On the palate, it is fresh and well balanced, with a subtly integrated tannic structure that adds definition without dominating.
