In the central highlands of Sri Lanka, near the city of Kandy, this exceptional black tea specialty is produced. The leaf is extremely fine and lightly twisted, and the abundance of delicate tips gives the tea an elegant appearance even before infusion.
In the cup, the tea reveals a luminous colour between gold and chestnut brown. Its aroma is rich and complex. On the palate it unfolds with a soft, well balanced character and a subtle caramel note. A fine and elegant astringency adds structure and depth to the tea.
