The organic Meiryoku Shincha comes from Uji, Kyoto, one of Japan’s most traditional tea-growing regions. Meiryoku, a crossbreed of the tea cultivars Yabukita and Yamatomidori, is known for its resilience and balanced aroma.
In Japan, “Shincha” means “new tea” and refers to the first spring harvest, when the young leaves are especially tender and aromatic. With its high umami content, Shincha is considered a rare and special tea. Meiryoku Shincha delights with its strong flavour, subtle sweetness and fine bitterness, rounded off by a refreshing note.
