Karuna Stone Pine 70% organic, 60g

This organic cocoa is grown by about 2000 small farmers in the Kilombero Valley in the Morogoro region, not far from the Udzungwa National Park. Wonderfully resinous coniferous notes dominate the taste, underpinned by the finely fruity Tanzanian cocoa.
Since autumn 2018, the South Tyrolean manufactory Karuna has been producing wonderful chocolates. Katja and Armin, the founders, give high priority to ethically traded and organically grown fine flavoured cocoa. For sweetening they use Fairtrade raw cane sugar from Brazil. The organic cocoa butter is pressed from Nacional Arriba cocoa from the area around Los Rios and Esmeraldas in Equador. The almonds and fruits used are also organically produced. Newly, the packaging is also completely organic.
