These dried nibs (cacao pieces) are made from cleaned, unroasted cacao of the Hacienda San Cayetano in the Valle Canoabo, Venezuela. The beans contain a high share of Criollo, a rare fine-flavor cacao grown only in limited regions. Though delicate and low yielding, Criollo develops remarkable aromatic depth when carefully processed. These aromatic cocoa nibs, with spice notes and a slight bitterness, are highly popular as a crunchy topping for muesli, yogurt or ice cream, as an ingredient in energy balls, or for baking and cooking.
Founded in 2018, Laflor is a Zurich-based chocolate manufactory dedicated to craftsmanship and authenticity. The company works exclusively with premium cacao beans from small-scale farmers and sources them directly, ensuring full transparency and paying fair, above-market prices that honor their work. Each chocolate is produced in small batches, without additives, allowing the natural complexity and character of the cacao to shine through. Laflor chocolate offers a truly distinctive taste experience.
