Jinja is the fourth largest city in south-eastern Uganda and gives its name to this exquisite chocolate.
With a cocoa content of 64%, it has a mild, nutty taste with a subtle fruity note.
The Ugandan chocolate producer Latitude produces its chocolate using only local ingredients. The cocoa beans are purchased directly from over 2500 USDA-certified organic farmers and from the day of harvest, fermentation is controlled to achieve the best quality.
