This exceptional Fleur de Sel comes from the Sal Ancestral salt pans in Navarra, at the foot of the Urbasa-AndÃa Natural Park, 700 metres above sea level. Its origins date back some 220 million years, when an ancient sea left behind vast salt deposits. Today, underground spring water dissolves these salt layers and resurfaces as mineral-rich brine.
Through natural evaporation by sun and wind, delicate salt crystals form and are carefully harvested by hand. The salt is neither washed nor refined, preserving its natural minerals and trace elements. Production takes place exclusively during the warm summer months and depends heavily on weather conditions.
With its delicate, slightly crisp texture, this Fleur de Sel is ideal for enhancing a wide variety of dishes or as a finishing salt at the table.
