Za’atar (also zatar or zahtar) is a spice blend from the Middle East.
Mix the za’atar with olive oil to make a paste to use as a spread on pita bread, as a marinade with grilled meats, or to add flavor to vegetables.
Ingredients: Sumac, roasted sesame seeds, zahtar herb (similar in taste to oregano or thyme) and a little salt.
Contains sesame.
