This chocolate bar is made from cocoa from the Mallano Estate in El Rejon, Puerto Plata Province, Dominican Republic. It was founded in 1931 and is still a family business. In 2011, Cacao Mallano won the International Cocoa Award and was voted one of the 20 best cocoas in the world in 2019.
With 90% organic cocoa and a little cane sugar, this bar gives a bold cocoa flavour with notes of blackcurrants and sultanas.
