Dried curry leaves, also known as kaloupilé, come from the curry leaf tree Murraya koenigii and are an essential ingredient in South Indian and Southeast Asian cuisine.
Our curry leaves come from sustainable cultivation in Cambodia, where the plant is known as «Chbai Prâs». The leaves are harvested by hand, carefully cleaned and gently air-dried to preserve their natural aroma as well as possible.
Dried curry leaves have an aromatic, citrusy and mildly spicy fragrance with slightly herbal notes. They are especially well suited for curries, soups, rice dishes, sauces and marinades. Their aroma develops best when the leaves are briefly toasted in hot oil at the beginning of cooking.
The curry leaves are 100% natural, hand-selected and free from additives. They should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light, in a well-sealed container.
