Kraus Gourmet is made with stems but little powder. It has a pleasant, medium-strong herbal taste.
The Kraus company has existed for 100 years and produces under organic conditions. The drying process used is unusual for yerba mate. Indirect heat is applied: a fire heats the air, which is blown onto the leaves. This indirect drying process does not give them a smoky taste. In Spanish it is called “sin humo”.
